I am coming from Seattle and would like to go somewhere warm, besides Mexico, in April. Where would anyone suggest? Inexpensive too. Thank you.
Central America (Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama), South America, southern Spain, southern Italy, Greece, etc.
Costa Rica is gorgeous, and the US dollar is accepted in many places.
Palm Springs might be an option to consider? Surely many early bird meal specials.
Since you posted this in the Rick Steves Tours forum, take a look at the Rick Steves tours offered during your vacation time and pick from there.
Well I just got back from 12 days in Costa Rica . It was hot . It's always hot where we went apparently ( moth western beach towns ) Flamingo beach and Tamarindo . Flamingo beach is quieter smaller , and we enjoyed it , Tamarindo is more of a surf town , lots of cafes and bars , beach was beautiful !
Inexpensive and Rick’s tours have never been synonymous with me. Value for money? Absolutely.
Palm Springs, or Tucson and Tucson would be cheaper.
How warm do you want it to be? Tucson has lots of high-80s days (occasionally a bit warmer) in April, especially in the latter half of the month. As dry as it is, it might be OK, but as a Seattle resident you might prefer something a bit more moderate? I prefer visiting a bit earlier than April.
I believe Tucson tends to be a few degrees cooler than Phoenix, though it is a bit farther south.
Take a look at Sedona. Beautiful place, lots of hiking.
Since this is a European forum, Malaga. Or the Canary Islands.
Puerto Rico. But you would have to check your Honda generator as luggage.
Ecuador. Easy to get there, perfect climate. Currency - US dollar.
Inexpensive from Seattle - Arizona, New Mexico or California. In Europe, Spain was less expensive than some other countries.
Thank you all for these great suggestions. I will start my research on ticket prices. ; )
