We need to travel from Sevilla Spain to Barcelona. It is further than I had expected. Does anyone know about train or flight connections. Thanks a lot. I am not certain where to start.
This past May, we took the high speed train from Sevilla to Barcelona. This train bypasses Madrid and only has a few stops. You can reserve at www.renfe.com. This is Spain's national train website. There are big discounts if you reserve early --- typically 2 to 3 months in advance. Your tickets will be printed on your home computer. Just take them with you and show to train agent when you board the train. --- Bob
For flights, check www.skyscanner.com. Smaller airlines can be pretty competitively priced.
The direct Seville-Barcelona train runs 2 - 3 x/day or there are more departures with a connection at Madrid. If you decide to book train tickets through Renfe, try to use their new PayPal payment option, or else use a credit card that is set up with Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode programs.
