Transportation Bilbao Spain to a Hendaye France

We’re finishing a RS Tour in Bilbao, Spain and need to get to Hendaye, France across the border from San Sebastian-Donostia to catch a TGV to Bordeaux. Does anyone have experience traveling between these two towns? Is the bus better than the train and what is the travel time?

Our ultimate destination is Bordeaux. Is there a better (faster) to get to Bordeaux from Bilbao?
We checked flying but connections at CDG or AMS are either too short (40 min) or too long (3-4 hrs).

Any suggestions will be helpful.. Thank you.

The bus is faster to San Sebastian from Bilbao.
There is direct bus Bilbao to Bordeaux offered once a day by Eurolines.
Otherwise refer to the response in your other posting

The Pesa bus that departs Bilbao at 7:00 a.m. daily gets to Hendaye train station at 8:45. That's the first French station where you could catch a direct train to Bordeaux (e.g. 9:12 departure gets to Bordeaux at noon).

Buses just between Bilbao and San Sebastian (a.k.a. Donostia) run frequently throughout the day, as does the EuskoTren from SS/Donostia to Hendaye.
