is there a train from villa san giovanni via ferry to massina and your still on a train? sicily.

If you are leaving from VSG, just get on the ferry. If you are taking the train from another location in Italy (eg. Paestum, Salerno) the train car is loaded on to a barge to Messina. You just stay in your seat.

You can get off the train and go up on deck for the crossing. And there is a snack bar on the ferry also.
