There are currently 30 tour dates on sale. Is that typical for this time of year?
I don’t know if it is typical to have 30, but pretty much every year tours that are not full go on sale as it gets closer to the departure date. You will notice that most of the sale departures right now are for summer tours.
Seeing that there are hundreds of tours already on "joint the wait list" (fully booked), I'd guess that most people have their tours booked for the season, so now they are just trying to fill in the few gaps.
I imagine some people were discouraged from considering a tour this summer when they saw the price of airfare, or read the reports on how crowded it is already.
Curious about who has these tours on sale? Asking for a friend.
BigMike, the sale list is here:

Thank you, Laura. I'm not exactly college material.
The only one that surprised me is the Bulgaria tours in September. Seems like too far in the future to need to lower prices.
That's about the obscurest destination on the entire tour list. If you look at the tours now on sale, it seems as if they are mostly itineraries that include some less-well-known destinations. People are flooding to the old faithfuls, it seems, to a greater degree than to less famous spots.
I am strongly considering a tour late Summer/early Fall and keeping my eye on the sales. Since I’m already doing one RS trip this year, the dates & interest level of the sale choices will determine if the second trip happens. Hoping! : )
