Tour Reunion and Travel Festival in Edmonds

Thanks to everyone at the Rick Steves company for another great weekend in Edmonds. Lots of guides from Europe were there (100 or so in total) and its was great seeing many of my past guides and a few previous tour mates. The Friday events (reunion and reception) were quite enjoyable even if no one else from my 2016 Basque Country tour were able to make it. As always, the Saturday talks were informative and a good introduction to some guides I haven't heard from before.

Thanks again for making it such a worthwhile event.

It was very enjoyable and I'm glad I got there this year. Always good to see past guides and friends, as well as to talk with like minded travelers. As usual, RS and company did a good job.

Yes it was a fantastic event. It was my first time to go to a reunion. None of my travel mates from my two previous tours were there but I thoroughly enjoyed seeing my guides... Rozanne, hans, nica and ben.

Loved the test drive guides classes. Already have 2017 tour booked and know ones for 2018 to go on, still deciding for 2019

Happy travels

I enjoyed what it was but I certainly liked it a lot better when the reunions lasted over the weekend. Then there was a lot more time to visit and meet with previous guides. At first those were pot-lucks but then RS folks provided lots of good food and not just cheese and crackers. Guess the expense and logistics of putting on that big show got to be too much for RS. Only two other tour members from our Portugal tour showed up along with the assistant guide, who works in the RS office. But, the five of us had lots of time to chat. Until next year...

I attended for the 4th time, taking a couple of classes as well as attending the reunion for my 2016 Ireland tour. Since many of our tour participants were from the Pacific NW, we were able to get together both Friday evening at a local restaurant and again on Saturday evening with our guide at the home of one couple who live in Edmonds. Also got to breakfast with friends from a much earlier tour. Fun, just pure fun. Thanks, Rick, as I know organizing all the reunions and classes was not easy or inexpensive.
