I am hoping to book a BOE tour in 2016.
And was hoping to go to the religious service in Rome (at the Vatican) and Paris (Notre Dame) is that possible in the tour schedule?
The 14-day BOE itinerary seems well suited for these services. The itinerary begins in Paris on a Monday afternoon; you could arrive a day or two earlier (well advised) and attend a Sunday service at Notre Dame. Likewise, the tour's ending point is (two weeks forward) Sunday breakfast in Rome, perfect for attending St. Peter's Basilica later that morning.
On the 21BOE you have 2 nights in Rome. You arrive from Florence in the afternoon and after lunch probably have that whole afternoon and early evening taken up with tour activities. We had an optional meal organized by the guide that first night which everyone did and we wound up touring until 9PM or so. The next day is 1/2 a day sightseeing in the AM and a free afternoon. If there is an afternoon service at St Peter's you could certainly work it in then.
In Paris, you are there for 1.5 days as well. We also had a free afternoon in Paris, but I would also recommend you stay an extra day or 2 in Paris as Matt suggests and work in your church service then.
You can always opt out of the tour activities as long as it is not a transit day, but you really will not want to miss time with your guide!
