Teens on regular Rick Steves tours

Are children allowed on the regular Rick Steves tours?

I have been on tours with teens in the past. It is important to realize that they could be the only teens on the tour. They should be able to relate to and get along with adults that are older. That said, it was always a joy to have the teens on the tours.

My biggest concern would be the tremendous cost of bringing an entire family on a tour. If it fits your budget and your interests, go for it.

Yes. My 15 year old loved our tour of Paris but it was her choice to go and she loves art..

A comment about teens in your tour group: This is being said with a grin on my face; don’t take it as a negative. : )

During my RS Adriatic tour there was one teenage boy. During our intro meeting I asked him if he would like to be my “buddy check “ person. What I didn’t realize was that during quick buddy checks, teenagers may be listening to something on their headphones in the back of the bus vs. checking to see if I’m on the bus. After the second day, I asked another person to be my backup checker just-in-case, so I wasn’t accidentally left before a long bus ride!

Jean, it probably would have worked if you had asked him to text for buddy check! Or DM each other's Insta account! Or something on Tik Tok!
