Which is better, Lausanne or Montreux 3 day stop over?

We've enjoyed our stays in both cities. In Lausanne, I'd recommend staying lakefront at Ouchy. From Lausanne we took a fun day trip over to Evian, France by ferry. In Montreaux, we enjoyed a 2 mile walk along the lakefront to the highly recommended Chateau de Chillon. Note that the Montreaux Jazz Festival plays during the month of July. Both have good train access, but Montreaux may be a little easier. We caught the Golden Pass train in Montreaux when heading to Murren.

Montreux for sure!!! There is a lot more to see and do there and it is a lovely place.
