Suggestions for after Loire RS tour

Our tour ends in Nice - any recommendations for what else to see or go? Should we return to Paris to fly home or another spot?

Hi Stephanie, there’s a lot to do in the Nice area, so you might enjoy adding a few extra days there. I was in Nice for five nights and still had places I didn’t see. I took the train to Menton and explored the beautifully sunset-colored Italian neighborhood. Stopped at Monaco, went to Villa Rothschild a different day to see the pink villa and wonderful gardens. I also took a food tour in Nice that I really enjoyed - one of my favorite food tours!

To fly home, you could take the train to Paris, or Milan is about the same amount of time. There is an airport in Nice where you could connect with Paris to fly back home.

Stephanie, we spent a couple extra days following our tour to visit the Matisse & Chagall museums. Seven of us also took the bus to Monaco and did a self guided tour and ended it with a celebratory lunch by the water. We had spent 5 nights in Paris pre tour and returned to Paris to fly home. Enjoy this wonderful tour!

I took this tour last summer and loved it. I had to depart the day the tour ended, but wish I would have had more time in Nice and the surrounding area. If you do fly out of Nice, I found the airport easy to navigate and it is easy to get to. Enjoy your tour!

I did this tour in September. Loved it! Because I really wanted to go back to Venice, after the tour I took the train there with an overnight in Milan to break up the travel.

Seems like most people stay in the Nice area after the tour and do day trips along the coast.

(My flights were open jaw, in to LHR, out from VCE.)
