We are considering staying at the Palazzo Alfieri right near the Santa Trinta bridge. Rick does not seem to like the river area much - no neighborhood feel. But we do love river views and walks. Anyone been to the area? Any comments on the location?
Looks nice to me! We stayed on the river in 2006 and it was very convenient to everything.
Looks like a wonderful location - strolling along the Arno and enjoying the views is indeed a great pleasure. The historical center of Firenze is not at all large, so you'll be close to everything. (Also have to mention that there's a spectacular gelateria just to the south of the bridge.:)
Ooh, I love that bridge. I have some wonderful sunset photos from it. Great views of the Ponte Vecchio. Great location too, use some of your time to explore the neighborhood across the bridge, the Oltrarno, it has some lovely things to see.
