Slovenia -- Shared Shuttle/Tour Companies

Hello -- My wife and I are taking the Best of Adriatic tour in late October 2025 (just a few weeks away!) and will spend 2+ days in Ljubljana before the RS tour begins. We won't be renting a car and know that public transportation will get us to most of the popular attractions like Lake Bled or the major caves. However, what if we want to visit less-visited places, or have more flexibility in trip arrangements? I've already identified To Do in Slovenia and Slovenia Explore (thanks, Forum users, for those tips) but would appreciate feedback about their services, and also advice as to what other companies we could consider. Thanks!

Last fall we used GoOpti, a shared/private shuttle transportation company, twice in that area and were satisfied with their service.

I went on 2 excursions with To Do in Slovenia a couple of years ago before that tour and would use them again. We were picked up in a comfortable mini van, and there was a total of 6 of us, plus the driver who both times provided a running commentary on what we were driving by and provided insight into history and information about the area we were driving through as well as going to. They were very friendly, efficient, and I thought it was a fair price. We were also given plenty of time to explore on our own before we had to meet the driver again. I booked it directly through their website as opposed to going through Viator, a third party vendor. Enjoy, and you will love that tour!!!

Thanks to both of you! Both services have been on my radar for a while and it's good to have your positive reviews. I think our choice will come down to whichever destination we choose -- still a work in progress!

Just did that tour recently and loved it. I went to the Postojna caves and Predjama castle in a van with a company called Slovenia Explorer. They were safe and efficient. The price did not include the entrance to the caves or the castle, but I still thought it was worth it. The driver/guide gave some interesting commentary on the way there and back. Have a great trip. Thanks for the tip! That company was on my radar, but unfortunately we've decided to visit Skojcan & Piran on a Monday (the day before our tour starts -- and the day most museums in Ljubljana are closed), and Slovenia Explorer doesn't go to our destinations on Mondays!

Well, whatever you do I am sure it will be fine. I loved Ljubljana. Regina
