Working on my packing list for my upcoming RS Sicily tour beginning September 2. I’m watching the weather reports but would there be a need for a light sweater/sweatshirt in some areas? I’m hoping someone who’s been there might know….

It was really windy on the day we went to Mt Etna. I had a jacket which was sufficient. Enjoy the tour it’s lots of fun!

I like to take a lightweight windbreaker and or sweater when I travel. We were there in the month of September. We visited Mt Etna mid month. Two days prior they had a skiff of snow! It was gone when we visited. ;) Enjoy Sicily!

I looked at daily weather here for Catania and Palermo, Sept 1-15, 2019-2021. Catania, highs from low 80s to low 90s. Palermo, mostly low 80s. One or two thunderstorms in each period. It also looked kinda muggy.

It gets hot in Sicily. I was there in mid-September, and it was HOT.
