Sicily tour and the beach?

We're signed up for the Sicily tour next year. Hopefully Covid won't affect travel by then! I was wondering about how many opportunities we'll have to go for a swim. The tour is mostly coastal towns but the RS tour itinerary only mentions the possibility of the beach at Taormina. Are there more places on the tour to go for a swim?

I dont remember any beaches other than at Taormina.

When I was on this tour, the only opportunity for swimming was in Taormina. I would also suggest a walking stick on this tour, this is one of the most ACTIVE tours.

Hey John,

My wife and I took this fine tour in September of 2017. Swimming opportunities are numerous. We arrived in Palermo well in advance of our Sunday tour meet and greet dinner. We trained to Cefalu (1 hour) for two beach days and one night. The town and beaches were outstanding and highly recommended.
We also enjoyed a day at Mondelo Beach, a 20 minute city bus ride from Palermo. We met locals, Italians and European travelers enjoying their beach holiday.
During the tour we had three opportunities to swim. The free Trapani afternoon was spent at a nice local beach. Ortigia had a sunning deck with steps into the sea where we spent part of an afternoon swimming with the locals.
Lastly, the beach below Taormina was fantastic. We enjoyed it so much we took a bus back to Taormina following the tour for a couple free beach days.
I hope this helps.
