We just got back from 5 fun-filled days in Sarlat. My pre-trip consultation with a wonderful Rick Steves rep gave us lots of ideas, among them staying in Sarlat, as a good midpoint for all the adventures we wanted to have. We went canoeing down the Dordogne, spent hours wandering the streets on Market Days, and saw some amazing prehistoric cave drawings. We stayed in two fabulous B&B's - one straight out of Rick Steves' book on France "Les Cordeliers" which was everything we expected and more. They couldn't accomodate our entire stay but graciously referred us to another fabulous B&B nearby, Les Trois Jardins, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Our lovely host Jo Marchant exceeded every expectation. We are hoping someone from Rick Steves drops in and reviews Les Trois Jardins. It's a great find. All in all, thanks to Rick Steves, we had a perfect time in the Dordogne.
