Joining the Paris and Heart of France tour end of September. I recall receiving Paris Metro passes as part of a previous RS Paris tour. HOF tour states 2 day museum pass but no mention of Metro. Looks like we have free afternoons and evenings while in Paris. Navigo t+ on our own? Bonjour RATP app?

I just wanted to say that I like the CityMapper App for Paris better than the RATP app. I've used it for the last 2 or 3 trips based on recommendation from Kim in Paris.
I did this tour long enough ago that we were given I think 4 paper tickets, lol. Hopefully someone who's taken it this year will pop in with current information! You will be given some kind of Metro access, whether it is a Navigo Easy card with a few rides on it or ??

Even though those paper tickets are still being sold, surely RS doesn't give those out anymore, they have a high "fail" rate - they are being phased out, are not useable on many turnstiles anymore, and I tried to use some last month and the machines are frankly not being well maintained and the fail rate on the paper tickets was pretty high. I got the Navigo Easy cards, and they work like a charm...

I just returned from this wonderful tour. The first night I was given a Navigo card with ten trips loaded on it to use for tour activities and I had plenty left for free time. You can load additional trips on it if necessary.

Jojo, yes, I know there are a number of turnstiles that do not accept the paper tickets any more, including a metro stop near where some of the Paris and HOF tours stay for their Paris nights.
I was assuming they now gave out Navigo Easy cards and I'm happy to know hendyhaw has verified that.
So...SB Bill....if you are given a Navigo Easy card with 10 rides (also known as a "carnet") you'll have plenty of availability both early in the tour and if you stay on for a few days after to use the Metro!

We did the Paris and the Heart of France tour in April of this year. We received a 10 trip Metro card and a museum pass which I believe was a 2 day pass as it would not work when we returned for our last night in Paris. The Navigo card can be linked to the app on your phone if you want to download the card to your phone and use your phone for access to the Metro.
