I would bring comfortable walking shoes. No need for boots. I haven’t done the RS tour of Ireland, but I have been there twice, both times in July. From reading this forum, you will not be doing any real hiking on this tour.

Good soled shoes should be fine, but do take two pairs of shoes. I went on the 14 day Ireland tour and it rained and my sneakers were so wet, I needed to let them dry out for a few days. Happy to have another pair of shoes with me. Boots will not be necessary.
