Due to family issues we cannot book our tour until next month. I was hoping that someone going on the HOI tour departing October 26 could share information about the hotel in Rome where the tour begins. It would help us with preplanning, and possible booking now (depending on cancellation policy) so that we can be there a day ahead of the start of the tour. Thanks in advance for your help.

Why don't you just call the Rick Steves travel office in Edmonds? That way you'll get the correct information and not somebody's guess.

Given the fact that tour hotels can vary, even on the same tour, I'd also suggest contacting the RS tour office. They will be the best ones to advise on which hotel will be used for that particular tour.

we are leaving on the heart of Italy tour on October 26. The first hotel (in Rome) is the Hotel Sonya. We are arriving on the 25th, a day early as well.
