Guidance please. As part of our upcoming My Way Italy tour in September, we will be staying at the Hotel Museum in Rome, near the Vatican. Having done that area before, we would like to explore the Trastevere /Coliseum neighborhood this time, and are wondering about the easiest way to get back & forth from there to the Hotel Museum. We are in our late 70’s and would like to minimize subway hassle/steps if possible. Would an Uber or taxi be a viable option for us? If so, what would be the destination address we could enter in the app that is in the middle of the restaurants/plazas in Trastevere? Thanks for your help!
I would use a taxi and recommend the itTaxi app https://ittaxi.it/en/application/ It worked flawlessly for me, the only caution is watch the driver rounding up the fare a without asking. Ask the hotel staff or your tour guide for destination addresses.
Your hotel is on the back side of the Vatican near the museum You are just a 2 mile ride to Trastevere, and just take a taxi It is really more of a bunch of restaurants than a scenic part of Rome
