Rick Steves tour 7 Days Best of Paris - Thanksgiving week - want to share a taxi from the airport?

Hello tour members to Paris over Thanksgiving week.

I was wondering if anyone would like to share a taxi cab from the airport to the hotel on November 19. My flight lands at 9:30 am in the morning, but I can wait around the airport.

Looking forward to meeting everyone,
Thanks!

Shannon, I hope someone on your tour sees this. I would plan as if you will be on your own in the taxi and be pleasantly surprised if a tour member responds.

What a fun time you will have!!

I agree with Carol, I would plan to do this on your own but if someone responds that is great!

Do go directly to the taxi rank outside the exit for Customs at CDG. Do NOT go with anyone who comes up and asks if you are going to Paris. There are blue footprints or medallions on the floor (can't quite remember, lol) as well as signs overhead saying Taxis.

Is your tour hotel Londres Eiffel? Asking because the flat rate for this Left Bank location is 62E. You can pay by CC. I usually hold up the CC to the driver before they load my bag and say "OK?". Have the name and full address typed out on something you can hand the driver including the arrondissement code which for Londres Eiffel would be 75007. I usually tape the address to a 3x5 card and keep it handy in case I need to take a taxi home from somewhere in Paris, lol!!

Just a suggestion, but I was in Paris in September and tried the RER train to central Paris for the first time. I've taken every possible transportation from CDG to Paris, but had never tried RER. It is easy to find, easy to buy tickets, a lot less than taxi. I took it to the Notre Dame/St. Michel stop and walked to my Latin Qtr hotel from there. I am in my late 70s with some mobility issues, but I had no problem pulling my little roll-aboard along with me. Oh, be prepared to WALK from your gate to passport control That was the hardest part for me. After that, finding the RER/train station was easy peasy. Have fun in Paris.
