Hello,
Has anyone taking this tour? Likes/dislikes and any concerns. I’ve read mixed reviews and am hoping that I can get an accurate and honest review
We really liked it! Group met at train station in Paris. You can buy picnic food at market in Versailles then guide takes you through all the beautiful property and gardens. Lunch break on the lake looking across to palace. Really worth it.
Did you take this recently?
Another person mentioned that they received no guidance, helmet and roads were not easy to drive on due to deep ruts.
Thank you for your response
We used Bike About Tours last year to go to Versailles and really enjoyed it. We met at a coffee shop in Paris, took the train to Versailles, picked up our bikes and some food and started the tour. We went to Marie Antoinette’s farm first, then the Petit & Grand Trianon palaces, had a picnic by the lake and finished the day at Versailles. This approach has you going backwards from most people/groups who start at Versailles and then go to the other sites. We were the only ones at the farm since we went there first. All the entrance fees and train tickets were included the cost, you only paid for your food for the picnic during the tour. There were only 10 people so you were engaged the whole time. The guide was very knowledgeable and checked on everyone throughout the day, never letting anyone get left behind and offering to take pictures of people at different sites. I highly recommend them!
