Private tour of uffizi gallery Bargello and history of Florence

My spouse and I will be in Florence in March.

We seek recommendations for a few 1 to 2 hour private tours from a local expert in the arts and history, as applicable. We’ve been to Florence museums before but would definitely be interested in 1-2 hour private tours of the uffizi gallery and Bargello and a guide to the Renaissance history of Florence.

We found the best guides have a keen understanding of issues such as the history of significant pieces of art, the lives and other works of the artist, and aspects of composition that make them unique

Please be so kind to recommend knowledgeable English speaking guides for theses endeavors.

Please also recommend any other experiences you greatly enjoyed such as a trip to a specific Vineyard, to Sienna, etc.

And of course restaurant recommendations are always welcome. Thanks Tim

If you buy the RS pocket GuideBook of Florence - all the info you asked above is in it.

In Florence, we used Simoma Conti as our private guide. [email protected]
She was excellent.

We did 2 day trips with WalkAboutFlorence - Best of Tuscany and Chianti Wine & Food Safari.

Florence is a great town to just walk in = see the cathedrals, cross the amazing bridges.

As far as restaurants, you really can't go wrong.
