We have hired private drivers to take us between certain towns in Croatia. Please give me some insight into what is expected. I certainly do not want to offend the drivers.

Other than expecting to be paid, I cannot imagine what the drivers expect. Tipping? No.

Donna, what are you expecting? I'm not sure why you think there should be any difference in how you would treat hired drivers in your town and those in Croatia. Other than tipping there should be no difference.
