Please take my money!

Our final payment for our Rick Steves trip is due tomorrow. However, it's set up to be paid in one go through the webpage, and my daily limit on my credit card is way lower! I already left a message with the tour company. Any suggestions? (Potentially complicating it, I'm in Canada.)

They had a discount for cash in the past. Try calling the tour office, ask for a grace period and mail a check for the balance.

I called and they answered this time! I have to call them back split it between two cards. Huzzah!

Is that a Canadian thing,; something specific to your card company; or some 'safety' feature on your particular account?

On my card you can set a daily transaction limit, but it's pretty easy to change in the bank app. So not just a Canadian thing, rather a security feature.

I always pay with the direct electronic transfer from my checking account so as to obtain the discount. There's no limit aside from the balance.

I suspect that the direct bank payment or check option isn’t possible unless the Canadian OP has a US bank account, which they probably don’t.
