Hey there! I am signed up for the Best of Paris trip starting on Monday 5/23.
I’m arriving on Friday 5/20 and am going to hit some of the stuff we won’t get to in the tour, including Napoleons Tomb, Jacquemart-Andre Museum, Skip the Line Eiffel Tower, and Arc de Triumph. Also a bike tour!
If anyone wants to hang out let me know.

Hi Randi, sorry you’re not reaching your tour members. I bet you’ll find that most of them haven’t even heard of the RS forum. This was the first RS tour I did (solo) and it was wonderful. I guarantee you’ll have a great time once you all meet up! If your hotel is in the 7th, try Alfio (Italian) and Cafe Le Dome. Two of my favorite places and very near the ET.
Hi Randi, I did the Best of Paris tour solo in 2018. I made the mistake of flying in from the west coast of Canada the morning of the start of the tour, so never had the opportunity of meeting tour members before hand. However, I did stay for a couple of days after the tour, and met someone in the lobby of the hotel who was on the next tour. I “showed her around the hood” and we had dinner together.
If you are staying in the tour hotel pre tour, keep an eye on the lobby area. I would not be surprised if you connected with other tour members who also wanted to see some of the non tour sights.
You will love this tour. You will very quickly learn how to get around. I spent every afternoon checking out cool places on my own or with others who wanted to accompany me.
One of my best “wow” moments was going to an evening concert of 4 cellists playing Vivaldi’s 4 seasons. I asked the tour guide about it, and she reserved a ticket for me. Five other tour members joined me. It was magical.

Hi Randi, good suggestion from Susie. I think she’s referring to a concert at St. Chapelle. We did one a few years ago and it was wonderful. Get a ticket for an early evening concert so you can see the sun shining/setting through the beautiful stained glass windows. You should have a few free evenings once the tour begins.
