Paris and the Heart of France (7th July start)

Am arriving at Charles De Gaulle airport on 6th at about 4pm at Terminal 2 after a long flight from Australia. Anyone else on the tour getting in about that time and would like to share a taxi to the hotel?

Trying to coordinate arrivals at CDG isn't a good idea. What if one flight is delayed, or luggage is delayed, or one party has a really long wait at immigration. How do you find each other in this huge airport? You could end up hanging around the airport for hours waiting.

Bite the bullet and pay for a private taxi. Maybe you can find a shuttle service that's cheaper. Or take the comfortable Les Cars bus into town, a porter loads and unloads your luggage. There are 3 stops in Terminal 2. There are two lines (2 and 4) that go to different parts of the city. Then take a taxi to your hotel.

The official website offers advice on getting to locations in Paris. It includes maps for the terminals. It certainly is less complicated to meet your tour group at your hotel. Note that taxi rates into Paris are now fixed. Be sure to use only the cabs at the official dispatch points; ignore touts offering rides.

Where is the tour hotel? The taxi rate from CDG is a flat rate now, different for Right and Left banks, so it will depend on which hotel this tour date is using.

Have a wonderful time! This is a terrific tour - I took it last Fall and had a really good time.

The tour documentation certainly gives good directions and advice and will probably use the bus if I can't get a share taxi. Staying at the Le B Montmartre 6 Rue Lecluse. Useful to know that there are now fixed fares.
