Safe travels! Have a fabulous time! Looking forward to Trip Reports from both tours!

(BTW, in England have seen the coolest Counted XS of ~all~ the English Kings and Queens but it had so much backstitching I knew I would be nuts before I got it done! Might have been a Bothy.)

The weather here in south east England is currently colder than normal, so pack accordingly. It’s also been very windy and wetter than usual.

Pam - where was this cross stitch at?

Jennifer- I think I have done (hopefully) packed the correct clothes, been watching the temps past week. We ourselves had a cold front thru Tulsa area and it is down right chilly as I leave in about 30 min to airport

Thanks!

Is this that same Kim who just yesterday was under the surgeon's knife and Jane told us about? Just yesterday?

Good work, girl - well done. There were times that I thought the recovery would take you too long. Proved me wrong! Yay!

Have the best ever trip!!!

Kim,
Bon Voyage! I know you will have a fabulous time! A friend just returned from Paris and said it’s been cool and rainy there.

Bon voyage, see you soon!! Have a great time in London.

Although that Cross-Stitch shop I told you about in my neighborhood appears to be more of a regular sewing shop (this from my peek in the closed shop window last night and viewing the changed name). : (

@kim- thanks for that info.

@jane - we will see y’all in a Paris in a week

@judy B - glad you called the office. I was wandering what tours they were going to release early. We are still a go. I have know definite plans in August , so end of August thru one Labor Day weekend will work. Since I work pt on Monday and Tuesday , that helps being gone in Labor Day. We are pretty flexible. My friends from Atlanta who still has not being to your meetings were wanting to do that tour but I have not heard back from them.

I can book when we get home june 1st or so

Sitting in Chicago United club now til our flight leaves
Around 3.

Kim,
I can wait until June 1st to sign up when you get back. I want to be sure I sign up for the one you will be on as there are a few that fall around Labor Day. I love planning my trips far in advance.

Enjoy yourselves!

Cheers and bon voyage!

Ugh...I don't remember the shop! I saw it both in London (just walking by!) and also in York. I ~think~ the London shop was either near Covent Garden OR on one of the streets heading south from the British Museum. Those clues will be of NO use, sorry!

It is definitely a Bothy Threads pattern.

On my Best of Britain tour Tom, the guide, was singing the song he learned at school to remember the order of the monarchs after 1066. It was to the tune of Good King Wenceslas and started Willie, Willie, Harry, Steve. I saw the XS pattern right after he had mentioned that and it stuck.
