Oxford sites visited on Best of England tour?

The best of England tour has changed from visiting Blenheim Palace to visiting Oxford. Has anyone taken this tour this year and can share where the tour went in Oxford? I'm guessing we will be on our own for lunch and also wondering where we will be when we are set free to get an idea of places to eat.

Thanks for any information you can provide!

I wasn't aware of this. I went on the tour a couple years back and LOVED Blenheim. However, I also love Oxford and on that trip went there before the tour and was able to stay at Christ Church College. It was a total thrill for me, especially each morning when I could eat breakfast in 'Harry Potter's dining room.'

My family and I took this tour in June 2025. We stopped in Oxford and were given some time to find lunch on our own (my memory is about 45 mins?). We left Deb, our guide, in the Turl St/Broad St area. My family and I ate at The Covered Market. Then we met up with the group again at Cool Brittania and were split into 2 groups for a 2-hour guided walking tour of Oxford University. We only saw the outsides of the buildings, and the only college we went into was St John's College. Then it was back on the bus (the meeting place to get back on the bus was the Ashmolean Museum area) to head onto Stow on the Wold.

I hope this is helpful! We had an absolutely amazing time on this tour of England! I wish I could go again! Let me know if you have any other questions about it, I'd be happy to answer them.
