Northeastern France

Hi all,

We plan to be in Paris in mid-January and would like to explore Reims and its surrounding areas. Any recommendation for hotels and restaurants? Any guidance on places to see?

Hi kanekyle, I just wanted to clear up some confusion … your title says “Northwestern” France, but Reims is in the Chanpagne region, in northeastern France. Is Reims the place, or another city with a similar name? Or is it northeast, not northwest you’re considering?

You may not have noticed but you posed the question in the Rick Steves Tours Forum. You may get more eyeballs on your question who know more about France if you were to post in the France Q&A Forum where questions about travel in France live.

Good luck on your question.

If your question is about Reims and not NW France, the champagne vineyards won't look like much in January, but Reims has a fabulous cathedral and there and the surrounding areas have lots of Champagne cellars.
