It's like a "wish book"! I love everything about it and ours just arrived today without having to order it.

I don’t recall having to order it every year. Seems like they just send it if you’re a past customer. Has something changed?

I get one every year as well without ordering it unless something has changed.

I've never gotten the tour catalog. Well, also never gone on a RS tour.

But I'm curious: is there more/different information available in the printed catalog than is available in the Our Tours section of this web site?

No, not really more information but lots of lovely pictures.

Plus you can sit and hold it and flip back and forth between tours and it's easy to keep one at your bedside or in other areas where you might be sitting for a few minutes....

Any of our tour guests from 2016, 17, or 18 should automatically receive the mailed 2019 Rick Steves Tours Catalog.

Thanks Laura...guess that means I'll get two. Or maybe 3, lol, as others in the house did RS tours with me this year! I'll take the extras to the RS Meet up we have locally and pass them out.

Oh goodie..... wondering when I get mine. I can peruse it (if I can stay Awake) while I am recouping

Kim!!! You're back! Yes, very good material for recouping because you don't have to have a train of thought, hahaha!

Pam- off and on ..those pain meds / pain make me nauseated right now. I have a small window of perusing on my phone. I get in the knee machine 3 times a day 9 am, 2pm, and 8 pm for 2 hours. I cat nap in bed while doing it😟

I got one yesterday and my first RS tour is in October. I liked looking through it but the website has more detailed itineraries.

I guess we won’t be getting one as our last RS tour was 2015. We can just peruse the website.

You can aways request one be mailed.

There are differences between the catalog and the web site with the web being more up to date. The list of tour dates is more complete online, the prices are current, and so on. The catalog allows easier flipping between the tours so you can check if this one goes there and that one goes somewhere else or the same.

I use both the catalog and web site when deciding which tour I might want to take each year.

Our catalog still hasn't arrived. I know it's not a major deal, since we've already signed up for two 2019 tours, but I love having the catalog. It lives in a basket next to my chair, and is lovingly read many times throughout the year. We also keep the old ones; it's interesting to see how tours change over time.

I do wish they still printed at least some of the tour dates in the catalog. It's easier to check out several paper pages at once, than screen pages. When we were trying to coordinate our tour schedule with Kim's for next year, I had to print out multiple pages of tour info for several tours to make useful comparisons. Doable, of course, but it was easier in the older versions of the catalog.

I guess we always find something to gripe about.

Whoo-hoo! Tour catalogs finally made it to Oklahoma today!

Yay - mine made it to my little hamlet in broken arrow Oklahoma. Unfortunately, I can’t do my annual ritual of drinking a glass of wine while I peruse the catalog due to my pain pills on from knee surgery. Guess I will have a toast when I am back in the saddle.

Kim: I didn't even feel like I wanted a drink for the first couple of weeks after surgery. Just wasn't appealing. Around the end of the third week, we went out to eat and I had my first post-surgery beer. They brought it to me in a Chicago Cubs glass, just to offer a little extra torture. :-)

Stoutfella - yes Chicago Cubs is torture! Lol. We are St. Louis cardinal fans!!!

Hmmm. Still nothing in m mail. Guess I will go order one.

If I end up with two, I can always leave one in the break room at work. Seems a popular item when I do that.

Found a surprise! A picture of two of the people who have been on a previous tour with me.

Got mine a little over a month ago...already planning my next big excursion for next year (thinking either the 2-week Germany/Austria/Switzerland trip or the "Heart of Italy" tour).
