Share your My Way Alpine Hotel list for upcoming tour

I was on the My way alpine tour in Early June 2022, these were our hotels:

Salzburg: Hotel Hofwirt
Castelrotto: Hotel Cavallino D'Oro
Fussen: Altstadthotel Zum Hechten
Lauterbrunnen: Hotel Staubbach
Chamonix: Hotel L’Arve

All were very comfortable, 3* quality, well located, and had great breakfasts.
I think my favorite was in Castelrotto for the cuteness factor alone.

We are on the upcoming May 22 tour and the list is the same as above.

Interesting......our July tour is at Hotel Plan B in Chamonix.

my alpine tour in mid-June will also stay at Plan B in Chamonix.
And Hofwirt to start the tour in Salzburg. We are getting closer with each passing day!

Plan B is our hotel in Chamonix. Is your Chamonix hotel different?

I read about Plan B Hotel, the chamonix hotel for some of us. It’s by the bus station in Chamonix and the website says the name is a play on words, so it’s the “alternative to the typical resort” so a “plan B” hotel. It has an area with games and a couple of small scale bowling lanes!

Curious to know which Swiss location will be the norm -- Lauterbrunnen or Wengen ??

Hi! I just received our tour documents. Our tour group (June 21 start) is staying in Wengen at Hotel Regina. Car free in Wengen :)

It’s great to know the location so we can try to plan out some hiking options. Watching a few YouTube videos too. Lots of inspiration! Enjoy!

Wow, another Wengen! I was actually looking forward to staying in Lauterbrunnen.......but Wengen would also be nice.

Exactly! It’s up above the town of L, so a bit of elevation. And no cars seems like a bonus :)

I will be curious for your stay in July. I think their usual hotel (per scrapbooks and posts) is still under renovation this year (Belvedere’s website shows closed until later this summer). Please share when you get your list. Check your docs a few days early!

I believe the Lauterbrunnen hotel has been Staubbach, at least for some of last year's tours.

We stayed in Lauterbrunnen at Hotel Staubbach during our RS tour back in 2006, and we chose to stay in Wengen when we returned a few years later. We loved Wengen! Have a great time & hopefully clear skies!

Just a heads up in case you stay at the Castelrotto hotel- Hotel Cavallino- I saw it mentioned in others posts
Very nice and great breakfast options. We stayed there for our “Best of Italy” RS tour last September.
They do have a washer/dryer for use on the bottom floor. That was a huge plus for us! It was free for all staying there so we worked out a laundry schedule with other tour members. Nice to get clean clothes, especially if you are packing light like you probably are doing for the RS tour. Enjoy! Great hiking in the beautiful Italian Alps and I hope you love the rest of your tour!

I wish I could remember exactly what they offered- but I don’t- sorry! It was a buffet with lots of delicious things available. Plus, the breakfast room looked out over the mountain and small town it’s a cute hotel and the small town it was located in was very nice.

Any June/early July tour people want to share their hotels?

What about your tour kit? I have to wait until the third week of June to order mine.
Does it include the Alpine Europe guidebook? Btw, I didn’t find one in the Shop Online section. They must send us various sections of the applicable guidebooks.
