March end to april beginning

Hello, I am planning a week’s vacation to somewhere is Europe end of March through beginning of April. I understand it is the spring season and I am not a big fan of the cold weather. Which cities are recommended?

Northern Europe can still be fairly cool if not cold, and even snowy/rainy then...from the UK across through northern France, Germany, Poland, and obviously points north of there.

You might look at southern Europe for better shot at warmer weather. Barcelona, Rome, Athens...pick one on a one week trip...

It sounds like it’s still going to be rainy and cold in Croatia in March. Our RS tour buddies sent us pictures from their tour that started the first part of April….Patagonia Nano Puffs, sock hats and mittens due to rain and fog with the fog making it a bit difficult seeing some of the sites. March might be better for countries further south.

We did Rome and Sicily this past spring in this exact time frame. The weather was exceptional and the crowds manageable!

Hii there! My gf is greek and she is an absolute fan of spring in Greece. Apparently everything is green and the weather can be warm and nice (especially if you go to the south ex. Peloponnese, Crete etc). Otherwise I would advise you to stick to southern cities/places (sicily, south italy in general, south of spain, Cyprus, Malta). If you don't like the cold weather, forget about northern and central Europe I would say haha. I hope that helps!

I'd go for Rome, Naples, Amalfi Coast, Nice and the French Riviera including Monaco, all of which I have been very happy in at that time of year.

Lugano, Lake Como and Lake Maggiore - especially Stresa and the Borromean Islands I have been very happy with a couple of weeks later so may be OK during your times.

I would skip Croatia as its just not prime weather for a coastal holiday. Greece sounds good. March can be cool but beautiful in central Europe so Vienna, Budapest and south to Romania are good ideas. If you want to more about any of them, ask the question in their forums. You will get better responses. But say for how long and what interests you, maybe ages and any other details you can think of.

Also consider Spain. It is nice weather at that time and you never want to visit Spain in the summer.
Portugal is also a great choice for just one week.

Hello, shortlisted Austria and Hungary end of march for a week which apparently is also the holy week. Will there be closures?
