Planning 7-8 nights trip in September to Sestri Levante (3 nights), Tuscany (4 nights). Last year visited Santa Margherita, Cinque Terre. Loved taking train from Sestri Levante. Please help with suggestions taking train from Sestri Levante to Tuscany. What town you can recomend to stay? We love good food, vine and hospitality. Traveling without children. Thank you!

There are many wonderful places to visit in Tuscany. Unfortunately, many of the smaller places are not particularly easy to reach by train as you might like. Towns/cities that are on the train lines include Lucca, Florence and Arezzo. If you choose Florence, which has many wonderful sites and is heavily touristed, I would suggest staying in the Oltrarno area.
