We were fortunate to travel on the BOE 21 trip last fall. We received “cheat sheets” for Italy, Germany and France with frequently used words and phrases which were very helpful. However, the copies were very faded and not great quality. I’m looking for copies of these if anyone has high quality copies? Thanks very much!
I used to receive those when attending the free classes at the RS Edmonds center. But, I don’t see any in-person classes listed to have them scan one for you. Maybe just contact their office. Or, check the back of your Italy guidebook. There’s a 1-page list.
Over the years, I have made a 2-sheet list of words and sentences that I use a lot in Italy. I find it easier for me to have about five sentences or questions that I always use at hotels, restaurants and out looking for something. Then I supplement it with the specific words I switch out and the others I use more because I travel a lot independently.
All of the RS guide books have a page of useful phrases, backed by a page of restaurant words. I tear our that page and laminate it. Compact and useful.
Google Translate. You can save the translated phrases and also use it on the go.
