We are in the process of planning a family trip for 4 for late April. We are hearing that 2025 is expected to host an influx of visitors to Italy for its Jubilee Year. We are curious if this is something that will impact mostly Rome and the big cities or all around the country?

Italy as a whole is expected to be MUCH MORE crowded - but certainly it will impact Rome in a bigger way. I'd wait and go in 2026. We were just there in October and our Tour Guides in Venice, Florence & Rome said they'd recommend another year to visit (not 2025).
A 'Jubilee Year' is a Roman Catholic Church thing, not an Italian thing.

While St Peters in Rome will be a special focal point, the Jubilee observances/celebrations will be 'everywhere', to some extent.
