Is Moulin Rouge worth the expense for the experience?

We have 2 days and nights in France before our tour starts and we want to maximize the time. We are doing the Louvre for one of the days and are thinking about Notre Dame tour, the night time Rhine river and (dinner cruise?) catacombs and possibly Moulin Rouge. Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

Extremely subjective question that mostly depends on your expectations for a rather expensive dinner show.

And I hope you meant a Seine river cruise. If you really want a dinner cruise, check out the Calife. Otherwise, for a pleasant cruise with a live guide, we've enjoyed our cruises with les Vedettes du Pont Neuf

For my wife and I, The Moulin Rouge was absolutely worth it. We did the dinner and show, so got relatively good seats. But it's expensive. If you just want to see the show, it's cheaper, but the seats will be at the sides or the back. Don't do a tour package with a third party.. Just go to the venue's own website and buy it from them.
We did a dinner cruise on the SEINE river with Bateaux Parisians. We enjoyed it, but it too, was expensive. Only you can decide it the cost is worth the ride. It was to us.
We also did the catacombs and enjoyed it. It's a walk through with audio guide. Tickets were hard to come by and they were for a certain hour. So you will have to organize your visit around that.
So all the above were great experiences that we gladly paid for.
We visited Notre Dame, ten years ago. It was not so much a tour, but admission and a walk around which included the parapets. I'd go again just to see the rebuild. So yeah, do that one too.
I think you should also consider a tour of the Palais Garnier, the Paris Opera house. That won't be on your Best of France Tour.
If you are on the RS best of France tour, the Louvre is included. But I am assuming you are not on that tour?

Have fun deciding.

I enjoyed it and loved the costumes. Dinner was tasty too that was served with plenty of wine that lasted through the duration of the show.

By the time we decided to go to the show and dinner they were sold out, so once you decide buy them. We were hesitant because we had booked an expensive lunch at Jules Verne restaurant at the Eiffel Tower. BTW, worth to money to us.
Our next visit we will go to the Moulin Rouge because it is quintessential Paris.

Yes, we had dinner at the Jules Verne restaurant. So far, that dinner has been the most expensive dinner that I have ever paid for.
But it was worth it to us also!

So the price of the dinner/show at the Moulin Rouge was peanuts in comparison.
I agree with the previous posters. Once you decide to attend, book now.
