We need to stay one night in Ljubljana, Slovenia after our Eastern Europe tour before we fly home. What hotels do you recommend. We would like to be in town so we can walk around and enjoy the city. Thanks, Trisha
I stayed at Ahotel in September. About 4 km from the city center. They have an arrangement with a local taxi which will take you to the city center for 4 euros. We also walked to the center, nice stroll.
The staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful, the rooms confortable and breakfast was good.
I would want to stay in the traffic-free area, right in the heart of town, for convenient pit stops as you wander the riverside and castle hill.
This place has old-world charm: http://www.allegrohotel.si/?lang=en
But it looks like a few brand new places, sleek and hip, have sprung up in the same area since we were there last. If new plumbing is more important than centuries old furnishings, you might want to look at the TripAdvisor map.
Our favorite place to stay there is the Hotel Cubo. You might not want to leave!! www.hotelcubo.com/en/hotel-cubo/
We stayed int the Grand Union Business just off the square.....cannot recommend it enough .....perfect for walking the city center.
Thank you for all the suggestions for hotel to stay in at the end of our trip. Trisha
Sorry hotels to stay in at the end of our tour.
