hotel in annecy in october

I’ve taken his advice to stay at Hotel Des Alpes, not too far from train station. Convenient for a quick stay and the price is right. I won’t have a review until early July though.

Just be sure you have air conditioning if this will be a summer trip; there's quite a good chance you'll need it in Annecy at that time of year. I was surprised at how hot it got.

Good point! I double-checked that this one DOES have a/c. I carry a small usb fan with me these days, even to move the a/c air around in the rooms. The My Way Alps hotels mostly do NOT have a/c from what I’ve researched.

One July my small room in Aix-en-Provence did NOT have a/c, even tho I had emailed ahead to confirm. It was not a good nights’ rest with the hot dry temps, but the rooftop deck and view of Cezanne’s mountain was a nice perk!].

The OP should be fine without a/c; I read right past the "in October" part of the thread title.
