Hotel Acropolis Select

I was hoping to reserve the Hotel Acropolis Select a few days after our Greek tour in May 2025 and the price I was quoted is pretty high. In my email to the hotel, I mentioned Rick Steves but was still quoted the same price that I see online. On the Select website, it says you can "sign in to get an extra discount" but I think that takes me to a 3rd party booking agent. Has anyone found a way of getting a discounted rate?

When we did the Greece tour (pre-covid) I found a better price on booking.com. Hotel declined to match and told me to use booking.com. Had no problems. Did not have to change rooms once on the tour.

No experience withe the "sign in to get a discount" process.

It is a great tour ...enjoy

We're doing the tour this year, and the Select was extremely high. Guess it is a classic supply and demand with lots of RS tour guests staying. We found another hotel on the other side of the block - Magenta Acropolis - they almost back up to one another and just a two minute walk with no street crossings. It has great reviews and I think the price was less than half what Select was charging.

Hi Tara: My husband and I are signed up for the RS tour of Greece starting 17 May 2025. I was going to book at the host hotel, Acropolis Select, for one night before tour starts. Only room available was a twin room costing 602 Euro! After seeing the other post about the Magenta Acropolis, I booked a deluxe suite there at cost of 170 Euro ($180). Thank you for your input!

On our previous two trips to Athens, we stayed at the Hotel Hera, which is up (north) (about 200 feet) the street from the Acropolis select.
When we did the best of Greece tour last year, we stayed at the Hera for 3 nights pre-tour, then wheeled our bags down the street to Acropolis Select when it was time to check in to the Acropolis select.
We found the hotel Hera because Rick's tours have stayed there in the past, as well as other tour groups.
Between the two hotels, we prefer the hotel Hera over the Acropolis select, but for your tour, RS is at the Hotel Acropolis Select.
No idea how what the prices are now for May 2025.

I did the same as Derek when I took the RS tour. The Hera was lovely.
