Heart of Italy and Honeymooners

Hi all I have been on the Rick Steves Paris tour and been to Italy many times, however my son and his girlfriend are getting married in August and want some honest feedback as to if the Heart of Italy tour is good for these 20something newly weds. I thought they might go to Sorrento first to decompress from the wedding then joing the tour in Rome.
Also is it very hot on this tour in August and do the hotels have air conditioning? Thank to any who have comments that could help.

A friend's nephew got married and did a RS honeymoon in France. The newlyweds had a great time but they were significantly younger than anybody else in the group.

If you haven't already, suggest you also ask these questions of the Rick Steves' Europe staff. There is a place to do that on this website.

I did this exact tour in 2009 and there was a honeymoon couple in their 20's on the tour. Yes, they were the youngest ones on the trip, but they seemed to enjoy the company of us older (40's-70's) folks. There were some activities that they opted out of to spend time alone. They were great fun, and one memory of the trip was seeing the "groom" dance around in an apron with a picture of "David" at our final group dinner. Don't remember if hotels had a/c, we went in October.

barbara,

Each hotel website usually states whether they have air conditioning. Many places in Europe start switching off the A/C at about the end of September, but in August I'm sure it will be operating.
