Heart of Ireland 7 Days

For anyone who has taken this tour - how long did you stay at The Cliffs of Mohr? We are adding an additional day or two, and wondering if we should plan time to take the Cliffs Walk, or if we’d be spending a sufficient amount of time there while on tour. Any other recommendations if we arrive in Ennis a few days early? We are planning on visiting one of the Aran Islands.

I've done the Best of Ireland and we stayed at most a couple of hours. Of course, the day we went the Cliffs were completely fogged in...as in you could not even see the edge from the path so really no point other than doing a walk that could have been anywhere, lol.

I cannot quite remember if this was a lunch stop for us as we were coming from Dingle but I see that you are doing it on your meet up day so no problem spending touring time getting food!

I think we spent a couple of hours at the Cliffs of Mohr, but it was pouring rain so we didn’t do lots of walking around outside. We arrived in Ennis ahead of the tour, so we the bus to Galway one day, which might tie-in with your trip to the Aran Island. There were plans to go to Bunratty Castle (RS doesn’t promote this) the other day, but again it was rainy so we just explored Ennis. I would have suggested trying to find a falconry experience, but they’ve added that to the tour. We had a tour of the Dingle whiskey distillery after the crystal cutting demonstration.

We also spent about two hours, but it was somewhat rainy off and on. But even on a clear day between two and three hours should be enough.

We took the Best of Ireland tour in April of last year. I felt as if the time we spent at Cliffs of Mohr was just about right. Plenty of time to be awestruck and take pictures. The weather was cool but skies were clear so you could see as far as your eyes would take you. Feel so blessed to have taken that tour.
