Need help planning a short time in Milan before heading to Varenna to meet up with RS tour. Arriving at Milan-Malpensa Airport early morning so would like to spend time in Milan in the AM. It's probably to late to secure tickets to The Last Supper, so are the group tours such as Autostradale a good option? What about private tours? These are highly recommended in Trip Advisor comments, but may be expensive.
What are the best options to store luggage while touring Milan? Can I buy train tickets to Varenna at the airport, or should I wait to purchase at Milan Centrale Station?
Recommendations and guidance are appreciated!! First time traveling in Italy and the first day is independent travel!!
