Guidebooks for RS Belgium/Holland tour

Greetings,

For those who've been on the RS Best of Belgium and Holland tour, which guidebooks did you receive as part of your tour package? It's my assumption we'll get both the "Amsterdam and the Netherlands" book and the "Belgium" book. Just looking for confirmation from someone who's taken the tour recently.

Cheers!

Yes, we received both before we took the tour in April. Wonderful tour. You will enjoy it! It was so interesting, and they are such beautiful unique countries.

Thanks! Looking forward to the early April tour. Just bought a new rain jacket.

We received both guidebooks for that tour. We're Detroiters prepared for wind and cold but needed more than our raincoats in the last 2 weeks of April. We nearly always had our "Baerskin Tactical" hoodies on underneath our raincoats. Those are really warm jackets and we found them necessary. My partner needed to buy a toboggan cap in Antwerp during our pre-tour days. I still have a full head of hair but my ears were fairly cold sometimes. We did spend quite a bit of time on our own days out in the tulip fields and canals on colder windy days so that colors my recollection. We did have some sunny comfortable days as well..

We too were there in the later part of April. We had one very cold day, a few moderate days and mostly sunny warm days and very little rain. You just never know but we were so lucky! Looking back I am even more amazed at our good fortune with the weather.

But pack for cold with lots of warm layers because it’s normally very windy and very cold.

Enjoying the replies! We’re planning to pack in a similar manner as we did for Scotland, though hoping not to run into sleet and snow and rain and sun in the space of an hour as we did there.

We’ve got a few days in Paris (first time back since 2015) before heading for Belgium. Would love to catch some nice weather to stroll around the city. But I just upgraded my rain jacket and got a size larger for a roomier fit over the puffy jacket.

We’re on the April 5 tour, as well. Will be arriving that afternoon from Paris.

This will be my 13th tour and the first that includes another forum participant!
I usually add another destination before and/or after, but this time I'm arriving a day early to Ghent and heading home the last day of the tour.
