Thinking about going during Orthodox Easter April 12, 2026. Any thoughts about how it is locally celebrated in small towns versus Athens? Rick's three tours during this time are not in Athens but in the countryside. Celebrations for the Holy week in front of Easter?

I went on the Greek tour last year during Orthodox Easter. It was the highlight of the trip- highly recommend. We stayed in a small town and could see/participate in a weekend of festivities. And on Easter Sunday, we had a feast in another small town, along with the townspeople- it was a unique experience that other tours don't have.

Thanks. Most of the sites I have visited suggest smaller towns rather that Athens, et al (larger towns).
