Got on my waitlisted tour

Great news, Ann! I’ve been on the 13 days Best of Turkey tour and arrived 4 days early to Istanbul. You will be glad you have a couple days in between tours. Istanbul is very busy and interesting.
By the way, we have a travel group meeting in Atlanta, we’ve just started meeting in person again. PM me if you want to come to our July meeting on July 17.

Don’t you just love it when travel plans work out? I would love to do the Greece tour but it’ll have to wait until after retirement because we can’t take off work long enough to do a trip like that justice!

Ann, that’s great your waitlist turned into a “Definite.” We we’re in Greece n April 2018, at Orthodox Eastertime. Will you be there then, April 24, 2022?

Ann, I was curious as to how you were notified that you had a place confirmed from the waitlist. We are also waitlisted, and I read that once an opening occurs, the RS Staff sends out an email to ALL on that waitlist, and whoever responds first will get the spot. Was this your experience? Have fun on your tours!

JMU, we got notified last week that we had spots on the Best Of Sicily tour we were waitlisted on. We got an email that told us we had 24 hours to respond and there was a link to follow. If we didn’t respond within 24 hours it would be offered to the next person on the waitlist. We already had a deposit on another tour. There are directions on one of the emails they had sent previously to everyone that told you what to do to transfer your deposit. Of course I couldn’t remember which email contained that, so I sent them an email and got a response within hours. They transferred my deposit.

I’ll edit this when I find the email that contained the info on how to transfer deposits.

Hi JMU, I received an email from RS advising have an opening on my waitlisted tour. And holding place for me for 24 hrs. Think offer place on tour in order our requests were received. Hope place opens for you too.
