Getting to Maseille, MRS, airport from Aix-en-Provence

We are participating in RS Eastern France 04/28 tour. The tour concludes in Aix-en-Provence on a Saturday. Do you think it would be possible to book/make a 6am Marseille flight on the day tour concludes?
I understand it would be a very short night after the farewell dinner. I have been to Aix-en-Provence twice and have made the decision not linger in Aix-en-Provence. We are going to Greece after the France tour and there are very few flights from Marseille to Athens. There is an efficient 6am flight. Am I crazy to consider it?

Thank you

Only you can answer this. Is it worth it to you to leave the hotel at 3:30am to get to your flight? Personally, I’d much prefer the evening flight on Aegean, but I am not a morning person.

Breakfast is provided, but there are no group activities today. It's an easy 30-minute bus, shuttle, or taxi ride to the Marseille airport. ( RS itinerary description)

Not sure moving to a different hotel helps much.

An O'dark ugly departure or spend all day getting there.

MRS-ATH does have no good options; just a choice of which color rope you want used for your hanging.

Definitely a personal choice thing.

You can do it, we’ve done it several times but it’s no fun. The final dinner is usually good food, wine and lots of hugs and goodbyes with people who’ve become friends. If you do take that flight you’ll be pretty wiped out the rest of the day.

Yes, its doable. We were on that tour last May and as you found, had limited flight options out of MRS. We opted on a 6ish am flight. As others have pointed out, its no fun but its gets you onto your next adventure. On the outside chance you are staying at the hotel Aquabella as our RS tour did, its a lovely spa like property. Few other tips, we arranged the cab the night before thru the hotel with a quote of 45 euro but the driver charged us 65 euro upon arrival. No biggie but mentioning the $ range if you wanted to pay in cash. Also, that hotel is a gated compound, when you would be leaving its locked. The cab pick up was outside the gate, the desk clerk escorted us out of the gate.
Have a great trip.

Actually the Aegean flight May 11 is 6:55 am which is a different shade of bother than 6:00 am.
area battles.

There is a non-stop Aegean flight at 6:55 pm (18:55) on May 11 according to their website. It arrives in Athens at 22:30.

Thank you for your responses. It was especially reassuring to learn from "dootle" that they had done Eastern France tour and had success getting to Marseille airport at o'dark hundred. Big thank you for writing. We are on Air France's 6am flight to Paris and on to Santorini after 50 minute layover.

Joe32F I chuckled at your comment about which color rope to hang myself.
Luv2Travel you are correct I was not willing to give up final dinner and move to Marseille airport hotel in order to take 6am flight.

Thank you to everyone. Your responses gave me confidence
