Germany Tours - Hotel in Munich?

Hi, any hotel recommendations in Munich based on your recent RS tour? I can't remember the name of the hotel we stayed at with the GAS tour in 2010. It was located a block or two from the Rathaus-Glockenspiel... I know I need to get a new RS book. Appreciate any help. thanks!

During the 2017 G.A.S. tour we stayed at the Hotel Viktualienmarkt. We enjoyed the stay and it is one block from the farmers market and a few more to Marienplatz. Other than that we have not stayed in Munich.

We stayed at Hotel Blauer Bock, Sebastiansplatz 9, on our Best of Europe 14 day tour last year. Very nice location across the street from Eataly and the market. I would stay there again.

I stayed at the Hotel Isartor in May while on the BOG Tour and stayed at the Hotel Viktualien in June on the GAS Tour. Both were nice hotels. I would stay again at either one.

I stayed at the Hotel Viktualienmarkt on the Best of Europe tour and twice at the Hotel Blauer Bock on the GAS tour and on the 8 day Munich, Salzburg, Vienna tour. Would stay at either hotel again.

Not having done the RS tour, but having lived near Nuremberg and been back to Munich 15 times since, I usually use the Courtyard Marriott or The Loft if I'm just staying a night. That's because they have good rooms, reasonable prices, are a block from the main train station, are walking distance into the old town, and have excellent breakfast. If I'm staying any length of time I use a Pension, usually up by the University.

I stayed at Hotel Uhland, and I highly recommend. Nice, spotless rooms. Nice breakfast

Our RS GAS was several years ago, but the last time we were in Munich, we stayed at the Hotel Mercure Munich Altstadt. It was very handy in the center of town and easy to reach from the airport, taking the metro and stopping at the Marienplatz station.

The breakfast at that hotel was outstanding, and we had an excellent lunch there the day we arrived.

On my GAS tour in 2016 we stayed at Viktulienmarkt. Nice hotel, short walk to the sites.
