Flying to London for family tour today!

We leave today for a few days in London prior to our first RS tour, the family tour from London to Florence beginning 6/11. Can't wait! I traveled to Europe twice when I was 16 and 17, swore at the time I would travel the world, and then (for all kinds of reasons, some probably better than others) took 24 years to start fulfilling that promise. But it's never too late, and I'm excited to share the experience with my wife and two daughters (13 and closing in on 11).

Looking forward to meeting our guides, and the other families on the tour!

Have a great trip! I spent a summer in Europe in 1972 but did not get back until 2004. Since then I have been to Europe six times. Maybe your kids will get the Europe travel bug!

Our family (9 of us, varying ages 7-65) took one of the very first Family Tours and just had the best time ever! You will love it and oh, the wonderful memories you'll create and share for years to come. Have a terrific time!

A quick coda here: the tour ended yesterday, and it was all that I had hoped for for my family and more. Wonderful people, amazing guides, simply a magical two weeks. At the goodbye dinner, there was not a dry eye among the group.

Time to start planning our next RS tour! I expect it will be the other family tour, in 2-3 years....
