Flight advice for Best of Eastern

Hi Everyone,

We have booked the June 4 date for the Best of Eastern Europe and I am starting to look at flights. I am flying out of Indianapolis and had what is probably a basic question about flights. I will be flying out on June 2, and pretty much all of the flights that I'm flying connect twice (which isn't a problem). My only concern is how long those layovers need to be in order to catch my flights. For instance, One flight I'm looking at first connects in Chicago O'hare and the layover is 1h15m. Is that enough time? I've been to O'Hare once before when traveling to China and I had to switch terminal and do security again.

Any advice on this?

Thanks!

I may be wrong, but from my memories of coming from Mpls and flying international out of O'Hare, I think it's unlikely that a flight from Indiana to Chicago will land at the same terminal as an international flight going out. If there's any way you can get another flight from Indiana that gives you more time I would do that. If that's your only option and the airline is selling both legs on one ticket then you may be alright, it all depends on the airline and the ticket. You might want to call the airline and clarify what you have to do in Chicago regarding changing terminals, etc.

I wouldn't be comfortable with that. A couple of things to consider: will your flight to ORD be on-time? Even if it is, and you're not sitting on the tarmac waiting for a gate to clear, it can take a lot of time just to get off the plane. Your int'l flight will likely already be boarding by the time you get to the gate. If you're checking luggage, your bags might not make it to the connecting flight.
