Thanks, Pam. I guess I didn’t scroll down far enough. It was fun looking at this scrapbook, since this is a tour my husband and I took a few years ago.

Nice job. Makes me want to go now. We are going this same tour in May. From their dates, it is the same time we are going. Looks like they had great weather. I will be watching the weather to know what to pack.

Thanks

I just look at the first scrapbook, and am overwhelmed. We're taking this tour in May (same time as Kim!), and now I can't wait. The photos are amazing. So much beauty, and so much emotion.

I've been counting the days for months already; now I'm really ready to go. And we finally booked our plane tickets last night, so it's finally real.

Rick Steves should pay the person who entered the South Italy Tour scrapbook a commission! Never have I ever been so tempted to take a tour.

Yes, I love the So. Italy scrapbook! I heard Sarah Murdoch talk about it at the RS Reunion weekend, I’m ready to sign up, maybe in 2020. Along with St. Petersburg, Alpine Europe and So. of France!

I love this time of year! So much inspiration! I have to finish up my scrapbook for Greece this weekend. I had intended to do one for our Berlin, Prague and Vienna tour also, but time got away from us. Cant wait to see all the entries!

Judy B, we're planning to take the South Italy trip in 2020, as well. Well, probably. That new Spanish trip is awfully tempting!

Jane,
What time of year in 2020? Kim mentioned you all might do the Scandinavia tour (also on my list) in late August - early September.

I have approximately 5 tours at the top of my list - they do keep changing places!

Hope we can be on a tour together!

Judy B -

It is two couples we met on our holland/Belgium tour in 2016. Mark and candy who live in your area and a Canadian couple. We had nica as an apprentice guide and she did the scandinavia tours and said aug/sept were the best time to go. She no longer is with Rick :(. So we decided in August. Like you , I would like to incorporate Labor Day on our trip. One least day someone has to cover for me at work. We are still planning on going in 2020 even if our friends end up not being able to go. I have not emailed them yet.

Judy B, if we do Southern Italy in 2020 it will probably be in the spring or summer. Fall is out - my favorite time but DH is politically active, and it's an election year.

We're not interested in the Scandinavian tour, at least not yet. We're still thinking Spain, Italy, France... Maybe back to the Netherlands. And in 2021 we're supposed to go to Germany with some friends, but not on an RS tour. We may split off from them after a week or so and join a RS group.

And of course, none of this is set in stone. But I'm "jonesing" for Italy.
